Instead of improving, Carsen has gotten worse. What's even worse is we can sort out what is going on. He has Mono., bronchitis and some intestinal stuff. He had a CT Saturday and grrrr I'm trying to keep a happy face but the actual order was neglected in that it did not state WITH CONTRAST! The nurse and the call reminder people from the hospital discussed the contrast at length with me. They verbally scheduled a CT with contrast but when receieved the order in hand the "contrast" box wasn't checked! What!? Seriously... They should be sure to have the order before scheduling to prevent these kinds of errors if you ask me. So, here's what happened. Carsen's daddy took him in. I had him prepared to give his contrast via G tube and sent supplies and the whole 9 YARDS! Well, in just a few he text me and said, "We're outta here. That was fast. You were wrong. He didn't need contrast". Holy Moly - I could have lost it. You know the scenes in the cartoons where the toon character will litterly blow their top - well, that was me - well amost :) I wanted to get a hold of someone BAD!. I wouldn't have let them scan him without it because I knew he NEEDED it. Whatever.... Dad done what he thought he was supposed to do. Bless his little uninformed heart. Instead of counting to 10... I counted to like 1000. Didn't work... I was still mad - still am. So, tonight, my son lies on the floor with a 103 fever, swollen spleen, free fluid in pelvis, leukopenia and the radiologist says he can't tell what's going on due to LACK OF CONTRAST!!! He didn't turn this ill until this evening. His PCP said call his GI Dr but they were gone. She suggested taking him through ER but if you know me and how much I hate the ER and moreover the ER GERMS, I will stand guard over my baby at home until daylight breaks. I have all of the equipment to check his vitals and such. Just gotta keep this fever at bay.

OMG! He looks so-ooo sick. I don't think the doctors know what they are doing!
